Just some of the questions that folks have E-mailed me about....
(My guess is that they may have a little too much time on their hands!)

1: What guitar brands/models do you play?

My three main performing guitars are a Guild JF-4 and a Guild JF-48 (6-string) and a Taylor 355 (12-string), but depending on the size of the "stage", sometimes I'll also bring along a few others...All are equipted with Dean Markley "Sweet Spot" pickups, and are run into a Baggs "Para-coustic" DI.

2: What happened to all the dinosaurs?

Best I can tell, someone ripped 'em all off! Yeah, I know the "theories" about the Great Comet, etc., but let's get real for a sec, OK? You're at the airport...you set your bags down for a minute...look down and damn, they're gone! No comet, no cold spell, just some thievin' little jerk, heading down to Honest John's Pawn Shop!
Same Deal with the dinosaurs...lotta meat on one of those suckers! Think about it!

3: What is your definition of "folk music"?

Songs of honesty, sung by REAL people (obviously this excludes rap and anything by Marilyn Manson...or Garth Brookes!).

4: Why do you prefer to perform in restaurants, nursing homes, coffee-houses, festivals and bookstores, instead of bars?

Well, I simply prefer to play to reasonably coherent audiences, ones that might actually pay attention to what I'm doing...and then there's the fact that bars don't pay very well, and these other venues certainly do! (Nothing wrong with getting paid what one is worth, is there?)

5: Why is there air?

According to that well-known social scientist, Bill Cosby, "To fill up basketballs".
Works for me!

6: When are you going to get a REAL job?

Define "real"...
